Well I finished drawing all of the Titans Kristina. This is a very late entry for a draw off submission that had a cookie theme. As you can probably tell all the previous post were part of this one. So Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and Happy Festivus.

Ana-May-Shun Snippet

Well here's a snippet of what I finished animating during my senior year. This animated short is 25.16 GB so to compress this thing for the internet is a pain because it distorts the aspect ratio and the overall quality of the product, since I'm not putting this on youtube. I originally did not want to post this online, but I changed my mind...for now. I cringe at the site of this, I want to redraw most of these scenes. The sound editor/fooley artist for this short was the amazing Lenny Menchiari and here's a sample of his amazing animation.

The supervising sound editor and other fooley artist was the talented JP De Guzman. As soon as I get a link to his site or what not I'll post it. I hope you guys out there like it.

Oh yeah there's a minor issue with a scene, I think it plays back a previous frame.

Hal Jordan

I have a love hate relationship with this one. So Green Lantern: First Flight dropped yesterday. I hoped you copped yours because it's worth buying. I saw it premiere at Comic-Con and I can't believe all of Ballroom 20 recited the Green Lantern oath before the movie. I don't know the words so I just sat there and looked like an idiot.

The film was directed by the big homie Lauren and additional scenes boarded by the other big homie Jay.

Week 5 HD Remix

Yup I put the wrong background on the older picture. That also needed to be fixed. I'm only redoing the screen shots I posted. I'm not cracking open that project because then I'll redraw every scene and I just don't want to do that.

Some Designs

Just some designs I've drawn up in the past days. The one below is for the Draw Off competition in which we had to draw ourselves in 3/4 pose and then it's all going to be put in a collage or something along those lines. The design is a little off, my shirts and shorts are normally longer than that. Yeah my skin tone is a little off too, I'll fix that later. Drawing those Space Jams were a pain in the ass, that is one complex shoe.

Week 6 HD Remix

There's tons of scenes that I would like to redraw, this being one of them. Due to time constraints I had to get scenes done as fast as possible, because I knew I wanted to spend more time on the post production and switching up scenes I didn't like in the animatic. So basically here's what made the final cut and the one above is what I really wanted it to look like.

One of the greatest musicians of all time. Thriller holds the record for most albums ever sold, so if you want to dispute that statement just talk to the 109 million and counting that bought that album. I constantly listen to Thriller and Off the Wall when I'm drawing or animating. Zack R and I would throw on Off the Wall down in the labs to keep us awake when we pulled all nighters animating. I quickly drew this one while watching some of his iconic music videos on MTV. Guess what video this image is from.

Back from the Diz Gibran/Pacific Division/ The Clipse concert. So I finished this up real quick and well here it is. Avatar the Last Air Bender is in my all time favorites. It is without question one of the best cartoons ever made.

Now I'm just getting lazy with the backgrounds. This is old and I just fixed it up, finally. So I drew this first and then I felt it was boring so then I drew the one below called Sai.

Scene 1 Pan

Background painted by Zack Wong. This is the opening shot of my thesis film, that never would of happen without JP, Lenny and Zack convincing me to animate this scene that I had originally cut out. The original had very bad drawing of the character, so I finally got a chance to fix it.

This looked better in my head. That hover board thing is based off a shoe, yup that's right a shoe. The Nike Air Max Penny 1. So is her color palette.

Goten & Trunks

Dragon Ball Z is to me what Disney is to most animation majors. I didn't want to be an animator because I watched Disney movies, I wanted to become an animator to draw cool shit all day and blow shit up after having a 3 episode long fight scene. These two are my favorite characters. I won't post the roughs because they're really bad, I had to do a lot of fixing with this one.

Week 0_Graduation

It's been a a busy few week with graduation and other end of the year ceremonies. So I haven't been able to draw that much or do anything art related, but I have all summer to update this with some more doodles. Until then I guess you guys have to stare at this.

Thesis Snippet 2

And you thought I was joking earlier.

Kalia Cheng's artwork makes a cameo in this thesis snippet, so look real close to try and find it. This is not the best resolution, but until I find a way to make it better, this is as good as it gets. It might drop frames, so play it again until it plays smoother. And yes I'm well aware of the misspellings in the credits, and yes I did start off a sentence with "and". Conjunction junction what's your function.

Week 1

Graduation got in the way of this post. Sorry it took so long. I also decided to make this image the background menu for the dvd copy of my thesis that no one has yet.

Week 2

It took a week to post this. This should have been posted last week, but stuff got in the way. So to bring you up to speed on what's going on here, Optimus Prime just gave him the Matrix because Hot Rod inadvertently caused his death and now there needs to be a new Auto-bot leader so Hasbro can sell more toys.

Just 3 scenes left to animate and this will be done. As soon as my friend finishes up putting some sound effects on the scenes, I'll post a snippet on this blog.

Week 3

It just doesn't stop. The quality isn't the same as the previous images because this time around I had to take a screenshot of the image since the image that was exported did not come out the way it was supposed to look.
